How Puberty Affects Vampires & Vampeals

     Everyone knows vampires are born vampires. But few know that vampeals are born human until the age of puberty. When vampires reach this age, they do require more blood daily and their strength does increase. They obtain the use of their dark gift as well. Born vampires continue to age until they reach their physical peak or prime. which is about age twenty five. After that they no longer physically age.
     Vampeals first need blood at puberty. Their bodies change so much that they often lash out to get their first meal as well. Usually not knowing that the hunger they feel is not for food, they sadly attack whoever is near them, friends, or family/loved ones. Vampeals as vampires also obtain their dark gift at puberty.

Wet Senses, Tense Thoughts

     So sweet is the wet rain flowing from the throat of life. Kissing the sky, a nimble tongue tithes over a sharp tooth. He is hungry. The demon inside him drips with excitement. This will be his first. He leaves in. Her neck warm, tender, ready for penetration.
     Her long black hair shifts back, exposing her supple veins. "This is what I want." 
     Before he can answer, the demon within has spoken for him.
     Red fresh blood flows. Soaking, flooding once dry clothing.
     The demon speaks without words. "Rip, tear, rend, and swallow the blood like milk."

Demon Vampires' Metabolisms

     Demon vampires and their hosts' hearts don't beat. Their blood is so great at processing oxygen and breaking down lactic acid inside their muscles it doesn't need to circulate. They still use their physical hearts as a way of slowly letting the blood travel by itself. A demon host has no change in their body temperature. If a demon reincarnates into a vampire, their skin is still cold, in a vampeal, their skin is still warm.

Vampeal Metabolisms

     Vampeal metabolisms are horribly inefficient. Being half vampire, they are able to eat normal food for nutrition, as well as blood in their diets. Their own blood is bad at doing the same functions that a normal person is used to. Simply digesting a meal generates vast amounts of heat that exudes from their body. Most vampeals that eat a regular diet have a core temperature of 100-102.5 degrees. Their hearts can't process oxygen as well either. A vampeal's resting heart rate is 100bpm (or beats per minute). Causing them to appear rushed at times of agitation.

Vampire Metabolisms

     Vampire Metabolisms matter. The resting heart rate of a vampire is 30 bpm (or beats per minute). Compared to an average person at 60bpm. Their skin is cool to the touch, not cold. At about 60-65 degrees. Their body is hyper efficient at digesting. Which results in the lowered core temperature.

A Vampire's Strength Grows to a Limit

     The more human blood a vampire drinks, the more power they gain as they age. However, there is a limit to that power. A physical restraint that is capped at around 2,000 years old. After that, all vampires are equal, unless they have a gift that sets them apart. Such a gift is the gift of Focus centered on the body of the individual. Allowing them to reach the maximum at a far younger age and then exceed it later.
     If you were to have one of these Elder Vampires test themselves for you, you would find a surprise. An axe the size of a truck normally has no problem cutting through anything. But on against an elder, it would only cut his skin. Nothing else would be hurt. The reason why is that a vampire's skin is their only weak point. Which is why their skin burns in the sun. Though an Elder Vampire is immune to sunlight exposure.

Vampires Don't Sparkle. Here's Why.

     Real vampires don't sparkle. All real writers and readers know this. Regular vampires eyes' are special however. When they are feeding, or injured, their eyes turn. Each has a particular color that covers the entire pupil in a transparent hue. The center iris is black. Their skin is normal, soft, and supple as anyone else's. The muscle underneath is strong and stronger with time. This accounts for all vampires' growth of strength as they age. As we all clearly know, vampires gain power with years. Not the other way around. Vampires don't sparkle.

Demon Vampires

Welcome To My World Of Vampires.

     There are vampires, there are half-vampires, and then there are demon vampires. vampires are easy enough, half vampires can be tricky to describe, but a demon vampire. Now that's the stuff of true vampire stories.
     In ancient Sumeria, a group of twelve elder vampires completed a ritual that produced seven demon vampires. The goal was to obtain true immortality among the elders. To know no fear of death, ever. The ritual failed. Instead of turning the seven volunteers into something more powerful, it transcended them. Forcing them to reincarnate every three hundred years into new hosts each time. They were turned into vampire gifts.
     Present day, a fourteen year old kid named Zack Giver is just finding out he has one of these demon gifts. He has been marked for death because of it. Now everyone in the vampire world wants him dead. That is except for Kyli, his new girlfriend. A vampeal (half vampire for the uninitiated), Kyli Waterfield is a tall, enticingly attractive young woman with a little too perfect of timing for all of this.
