Damn, GoodReads Is Fast
I just posted to have the giveaway approved last night. And here we are, it's already up and accepting requests. Gotta love the GoodReads.
As of this morning, there have already been 76 requests. Which is awesome. Each time this giveaway has been listed, it always seems to get more and more requests quicker.
So far, all signs point to two giveaways a month.
This giveaway is for only eight days, so be sure to enter soon. I try to make each one at least a week to allow for anyone like me that isn't online a few days out of the week on a regular basis.
The winner of the last giveaway was Erin Koiso of Nevada. Of course international winners are welcome always. So far another four countries are listed for this giveaway.
If you are in a country that I haven't listed and still want to read the book, contact me at virgilallenmoore@live.com and we'll work something out. Remember, I'm always open to getting a review for a book;)

Dental Work To A Writer Is Deadly
There are few things that can stop me from writing like Novocaine.
Today is one of those days.
It's a hard reality to face when getting a filling. Not being able to eat for a few hours, not being able to chew on my left side for a few days, and also feeling cold sensitivity for two weeks.
There is a constant irritation with knowing you can't feel one side of your face. Beyond that, eventually, when the numbness wares off, the pain is a welcome reminder to the fact that too much candy makes for a bad dental experience twice a year. Not that I'm complaining. I'm the one that ate the candy in the first place. Regardless, I'm not in a mood to make way on the book as of this hour.
I am able to give a few points of good news however.
I will be posting a new giveaway in a few days for Demon Vampire. Also, Book Two is currently at 52,000+ words. I'm well into chapter nineteen and the book will be finishing up very soon. Granted, it will still need to go to edit, but that is a small detail this time around. Last time, with the size of the book, it took three months just to edit. This time it should be very quick. About two to three weeks or so.
In the meantime, watch for the giveaway coming up.

Another Goodreads Success
I have been amazed over the last few months. Goodreads has continued to provide over 800 entries each time it has been placed.
At one time, I thought that it was because of the length of time I put the giveaway up. It used to be six weeks. That brought about a thousand people. The next two were about a month each, they brought around eight hundred. This last drawing was only a week. It totalled over 800.
It is because of this success, that I will be giving away a few more books each month. I will start by holding two giveaways next month. Each will be for a week only. We will see how it goes. Since I plan on finishing Book Two soon, I might be generous in giving away signed copies of book one. Either way, the closer I get to completion, the edgier I get, and I will be rewarding my followers handsomely.

Next Cover Idea
I'm still in debate on what the cover of the next Demon Vampire book will be. I've thrown together a few ideas and I know that I definitely want Sophialla on it with the silver sword from the Silveretta emblem with the red crescent moon behind her. What I'm having difficulty with however is what pose to put her in . I know that I want her holding the sword in a downward pose, but the exact angle, and the way she is holding it is a mystery to me.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'm making a contest out of this one. Email me your ideas based on either drawings (yes, they can be crude, it's the pose I'm looking for, not artist quality) or actual photos of people holding swords in a downward fashion. Congrats to Nancy Cunha

Not that I prefer any one country over another, but the shipping rates are always lighter on domestic freight. I'm Back
I have spent some time recovering and I feel a good amount better now because of it. I have been busy while I've been away though. I have spent the last two weeks contacting any and all that I can find to review Demon Vampire in exchange for a free copy of the book. Update On Demon Vampire: Redgold
I'm about 24,000+ words into writing Demon Vampire: Redgold, which is book two in the main series. It is a direct sequel to the first novel and picks up seconds after the life changing cliff hanger at the end of book one. This book covers the same time line as the side novella Special Science Report 1192.

Book Review Of Yesterday's Daughter By Sallie Lundy-Frommer
Sallie Lundy-Frommer builds mystery from page one. She paints a realistic portrait of a less ordinary life. Yesterday's Daughter uses well placed inner voice to convey a heart felt story. This is a love story wrapped in a romance for romance lovers. It is well written for it's audience and has a particular allure in that genre. It is truly well suited for anyone that has a longing in their hearts for something a little different.

The Demolition Of Google Friend Connect Newsletter
Google Friend Connect is being removed from Demon Vampire.
The notice was already sent to all Google Friend Connect members of the Newsletter that it will be removed from the site this morning. It is due in part to the divergence of words I have to dedicate to each venue since writing the newsletter is separate from the main blog.
I have given them all the chance to still be a part of the blog giveaway of course.
By cutting this portion of the site, I will be able to bring the mystery prizes that I have been keeping close to me into the site. There will be at least two other author books given away on the site and even a gothic CD in late March to early April.
For now, just sign up to follow the blog.

Book Review of Juice: Revolution by Michael Clutton
Michael Clutton is an adept writer that has a thoroughly witty narration. His script is decisive and telling. Honestly, it reminds me of Michael Crichton.

December Rebound Winner, Being Responsive Pays
There has been silence from our winner. This can only mean one thing... A new winner must be chosen.
I had taken some thought on the matter. Realizing that what I am directly asking for is a mere attendance of sorts. To show up at the right time and place to get a free book. It's under this concept that I realized simply picking another person at random until some one responds, would be perpetual madness wrapped in a can of irritation. What did all those who actually read the winning post do? Did they waist their time? I say, no. It is my goal to reward those who "attended" the winning post on the 1st of the month. So it is with great pleasure that I announce an addendum to the rules of the giveaway.
If the monthly follower giveaway winner does not comment on the winning post, or respond by email before midnight that night, the first person to actually comment on the winning post, will win. So it is in your best interest, even if you aren't the monthly winner intially, to comment on the monthly winning post. If the selected winner doesn't respond, you will win instead. It's that simple.
This month, the winner did not respond in time. Only silence was heard the night of the 1st, and she will miss the chance to read the sweet pages of a free 500 page book. However sad this may be, another winner has emerged from this silence,
